Welcome to 5th ELA Summer School!
May 31st - June 17th
We are excited that you are joining us for our summer school journey. Below is a schedule of events and lessons that need to be completed each day. In order for you to benefit from the additional review, it is imperative that the daily independent assignments be completed before you come to the LIVE support sessions. The independent assignments consist of text and video tutorials followed by short assessments.(Total = Approx. 1 hr.) The LIVE support sessions ("Tutor Times") will be a mixture of student-driven questions from the independent assignments and teacher-guided instruction. The "Tutor Times" will be your chance to ask questions about concepts that you still do not understand. (For students who scored a Level 1 on the GA Milestones ELA assessment OR scored below grade level in reading, the retest dates will be the week of June 20th - 22nd. Students who scored a 2 or above and are reading at or above grade level will not need to retest in ELA, but will benefit from the additional review as you head into middle school ELA.)
